This summer, One Way Restoration Ministries had the privilege of taking the Gospel and the message of restoration to multiple events up the East Coast. Our schedule was packed, our hearts were full, and God blessed us with not only opportunities to serve but also moments to rest and enjoy His creation together as a ministry family
.
A Busy Summer of Ministry
Our journey began in New York, where we worked at three county fairs:
Saratoga County Fair – Arrived July 21 | Worked July 22 to 27Ulster County Fair – Arrived July 28 | Worked July 29 to August 3 Dutchess County Fair – Arrived August 18 | Worked August 19 to 24
Between those, we also made a stop in Virginia for the NASCAR event at Richmond Speedway from August 14 to 18. Each event gave us the opportunity to share our testimony, connect with communities, and live out our mission to see lives restored through the power of Jesus Christ.
A Gift of Rest and Fellowship
Rather than driving all the way home between events only to turn around and head back to New York, we decided to make the most of our downtime. We gave the team a few days off to relax, explore, and experience some of God’s beautiful world.
In total, 18 people were part of this trip. These days of sightseeing were about more than fun. They were about fellowship, team bonding, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Exploring the Big Apple
While in New York City, our group visited Times Square, taking in the bright lights, bustling streets, and iconic billboards. For many, it was their first time in the city. We also enjoyed a ride on the Staten Island Ferry, which offers stunning views of the skyline and the Statue of Liberty and is completely free.
The joy on everyone’s faces spoke volumes. These were moments of pure gratitude, proof that life after restoration can be full of new and exciting experiences.
Standing in Awe at Niagara Falls
One of the most unforgettable stops was Niagara Falls. As we stood at the edge of one of God’s most awe-inspiring creations, we were reminded of His power, majesty, and promises. A brilliant rainbow stretched across the mist, a vivid symbol of hope and renewal.
Why This Matters
Trips like this are more than vacations. For those in our program, they represent freedom, growth, and a chance to experience life beyond addiction, brokenness, and hardship. They also serve as a time for our team to recharge, encourage one another, and return to the mission field with fresh energy.
We are deeply grateful to every supporter, prayer partner, and friend of One Way Restoration Ministries who makes moments like these possible. Your generosity and faithfulness help us not only restore lives but also remind people of the joy found in walking with Christ.
